St. Gervais-les-Bains

The chalet is approx. 10 minutes' drive up the mountain from St. Gervais-les-Bains, an attractive C19th spa town, with its tourist office, cafés, numerous restaurants, good shops, several hotels and bars.

There are large supermarkets in le Fayet and on the way to Megeve, but there are several smaller stores in town which are sufficient for everyday groceries.

A further 5 minutes' drive up the mountain from the chalet takes you to the skiing of Le Bettex, where there are a small number of restaurants and hotels nursery slopes and ski school, and the gondola and chair lifts up to the main skiing area above Megeve.

From the chalet, it is about 20 minutes by car to the beautiful town of Megeve, 15 minutes to Les Contamines, 25 minutes to Les Houches, or 35 minutes to Chamonix. All of these present alternative skiing opportunities.
